Where to buy local honey
Local honey is a product to be proud of! A quality food produced by these amazing creatures, the honeybee, on your doorstep. It makes an ideal present, especially if you are travelling to see friends at a distance – a taste of home!
Bees don't sneeze!
Eating local honey may have health benefits particularly for those who suffer from hay fever. The pollen in the honey is said to help to build an immunity to the allergens that cause hay fever, and so reduce symptoms. Local honey may contain a high proportion of the type of pollen that stimulates your allergy and could be beneficial.
Honey from Ealing
If you are in Ealing and wish to buy local honey, please contact us with your name, address and phone number and we will put you in touch with a beekeeper.
Local honey is available to buy through the Farm Shop, 19 The Green, Ealing. You can also find honey stalls at events such as the Ealing Famers' Market, and other fetes and carnivals.
If you are not in the Ealing area, please contact your local beekeeping association for the name of a beekeeper who will sell honey. The British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) and the beekeeping associations on our resources page may also be able to help.
Honey is not the only product from the hive: wax, propolis and pollen are produced by bees and can be harvested. These may be available from your local beekeeper.
Transport of honey
It is perhaps worth noting that some countries do not allow the importation of honey to prevent the spread of bee diseases; these are not harmful to humans.
